Link
Reflection: The entire world is currently experiencing a shortage in silicon chips, and the whole supply chain is being affected. Cars, fridges, and computers are all out of stock because of a huge demand for these chips. One major industry fueling this demand is the up & rising cryptocurrency mining industry. Miners are buying up graphics cards and preventing real gamers from receiving them. A few weeks ago, Nvidia Corporation announced that they would be introducing a cryptocurrency mining limiter on the hash rate of their new graphics card, the RTX 3060, in order to prevent miners from buying up all the stock. Unfortunately, a beta driver was recently released which completely nixes the mining limiter and allows RTX 3060 cards to mine Ethereum at their full hash rate. Nvidia has yet to comment on this incident, and it is unclear whether this was intentional or on accident.
