Reflection: Jim Crow laws existed in many forms throughout the post-Civil War era up till 1968. This article looks into how they impacted Black people across the country and how many people organized boycotts & protests to fight back against them. Even though these laws were officially abolished in 1968 by the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, and Fair Housing Act, they continued to exist in many locations across the Southern United States. A prime example of this is the U.S. Justice System, which has been shown to favor white people over other racial groups (especially African Americans).
