Reflection: MSI, a popular PC component manufacturer, says that a malicious website is impersonating them in order to spread malware. This website appears in adverts on videos, websites, and apps, and tries to lure people into downloading "GPU Overclocking Software," which in reality is malware. After downloading the software, users have reported that it steals their cryptocurrency wallets and has caused the loss of thousands of dollars. The moral of the story is to never click on shady ads (or just use UBlock Origin) and to always check the legitimacy of a web property before downloading files. +
